John Parker established Parker Coonawarra Estate in 1985, with the vision of producing the best possible Cabernet Sauvignon using the best clones, from the best sub-region of Australia’s premier red wine district.

Parker Estate was consequently established at the southern end of Coonawarra, on the rich Terra Rossa over limestone soils, using only original pre-phylloxera Cabernet Sauvignon clones from Bordeaux. The result has been nearly three decades of world class Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon with an outstanding ability to age. Today, the privately owned Parker Estate is committed to cementing its place as the pre-eminent producer in Coonawarra, by making only the very best wines from its state of the art maturation facility in the heart of the region.
