Sugarloaf Ridge

Coal River, TAS

-

Sugarloaf Ridge wines hail from the coolest climate Australian wine region and they reflect that pristine environment with their crisp acidity, freshness and well developed fruit. The vineyard is situated 35km from Hobart in Tasmania’s south eastern wine region, overlooking Frederick Henry Bay.

At 42° south latitude – equivalent to Marlborough in New Zealand and conversely to southern Burgundy in France – with a cool maritime influenced climate that provides for a long growing, slow maturing season that works to develop low yielding, balanced fruit with intense berry flavours, the vineyard is ideal for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.
