The Manfredi family have history with the North of Italy that can be traced back to the 12th Century, to Nicolao Manfredi. Its really the most recent generations though, that have taken their association with wine from a serious passion to a serious producer. From the 30’s until the present they have produced wines that are affordable, yet delicious and it’s the strength of their relationships that have made this possible.
The winery in Farigliano is modern and specialises in taking only quality wine, juice or grapes and producing beautifully clean and authentic wines from most of the Langhe varieties.

2016 Patrizi Barolo DOCG
When you combine a great value proposition with a near perfect vintage, you get some serious wine, without the serious price tag.
2016 was a vintage that showed balance right from the start. The sugar and acid balance was exceptional and the long growing season (one of the longest on record) allowed the favours to develop with the tannins reached near perfect ripeness.
2016 is not a vintage to be missed. And, for Manfredi’s Patrizi Barolo, 2016 allows for all the thrills that are sometimes just reserved for the top end of town….
“In so many ways, 2016 is all about being in the right place at the right time for Barolo. An ideal growing season with all the prerequisites for a great vintage comes at a time when so many winemakers are in their primes, past the stage of experimentation and settled into their own personal styles. The result is a vintage full of truly spectacular, breathtaking wines that captures all the pedigree that Nebbiolo and Barolo are capable of.”
