Casas del Bosque is located 70 km from Santiago, the capital of Chile. In 1993 the Cúneo family established the winery in the Casablanca Valley, one of the coolest climate valleys in the region. The large pine and olive trees and the small white houses of adobe, defined the name of “Casas del Bosque”.
Currently the vineyard has 235 hectares planted, exclusively dedicated to the production of cool-climate varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère come from the Maipo, Colchagua and Chachapoal valleys.
One of Casa del Bosque’s biggest strengths is its soil. In the hills, red clay composites of volcanic origin sit on top of decomposed granite layers formed 110 million years ago beneath the Pacific Ocean. This soil gives our wines their unique characteristic sea salt flavour.

The Casas del Bosque philosophy is defined by their constant search for excellence. Their team are dedicated to unlocking the potential of their terroir, combining the optimum conditions of soil, climate and vineyard management, to develop wines with unique character. In taking such care to unearth the riches of their landscape, Casas del Bosque are naturally committed to caring for the environment, and work hard to reducing their impact on the planet.
“We take care to let our vines grow with minimal human intervention and strictly control the production and treatment of our vineyards. Simply put, we concentrate on “quality instead of quantity.” It is not in our interest to produce huge volumes, just the best wines.”
