2017 Vino de Montana Field Blend
Sierra de Gata, Spain

This highly aromatic, sustainably grown, old vines field blend hails from the Sierra de Gata mountain range in Castilla y Leon, Spain. Comprised of Garnacha, Rufete and Pinuela, this fabulous high-altitude wine features delicate rose petal, red currant, red cherry, and red plum notes. This is bright, fresh, charming and very reminiscent of elegant Pinot Noir.

“A lovely lift of raspberry and red cherry aromas and a touch of dried flowers. The palate mirrors the aromas, all red fruited, crunchy and snappy. Chalky tannins and lively acidity bring texture and zing.”

A juicy, fleshy unoaked red wine, showing great purity and the typicity of high altitude Garnacha from the heart of Spain, with expressive and well-defined aromas of red fruits and violets. Fresh and with an excellent persistence on the palate. Versatile, medium to full bodied food wine, excellent with spicy meats and stews.

McLAREN VALE WINE SHOW 2022

“Beautiful wine. So brightly lit, spicy, red fruited, almond, white pepper and orange peel. Medium-bodied, fine graphite tannin with something of a dusty peppery feel too,  juicy and bursting with energy, a little pomegranate and cranberry acidity, and a long spicy finish of wonderful length and freshness. Outstanding. What a great wine!
Buy it. It’s a revelation.”

2018 Cadalso Garnacha
Sierra de Gredos, Spain

With medium body, great freshness, thanks to the high acidity developed in the high-altitude vineyards and firm tannins that contribute to its long finish. An elegant, highly drinkable wine, versatile food wine that pairs perfectly with white fish or red meats.

“Following on from the terrific 2019 vintage, this 2020 is even more expressive & fruit-driven and perhaps a little less earthy & structured. An incredible burst of red currants & blueberries lead the way, making it a thoroughly joyous CDR.”
