Spring Vale Wines is a small, 5th generation family-owned vineyard located in Cranbrook on Tasmania’s stunning Freycinet Coast.
The winery is owned and operated by the Lyne family.
Built in 1842, the original Spring Vale homestead is one of the oldest properties on the east coast. It was built by convict labour and is now heritage listed. It has has been in the Lyne family since 1875.

The Freycinet Coast is the driest part of the state, with an average annual rainfall of 550mm. Warm days and cool nights are a result of this climate and ideal for slow ripening and excellent flavour development.
Vineyard operations are mostly carried out manually.
The grapes are grown with an in-depth knowledge of the local terroir together with intimate attention to quality and flavour.

“Spring Vale impresses me more and more with its complex pinot noirs and increasingly confident pinot gris.”

2019 ‘Salute’ Sparkling
Classic aperitif style sparkling.
Complex aromas of lemon, grapefruit and fresh dough.
A dry, savoury palate with a very long, stylish finish.
2022 Pinot Gris
“Bright and carrying a hint of copper tones. Stone fruit and flaky pastry aromas. Richly textured on the palate with ripe fruits and hints of warm baked goods. There’s some sweetness through the core but subtle acid and phenolic fuzz ensure it carries quite long, finishing clean and crisp.”

2022 Rose
“Medium-full salmon-pink with an orange tint; very attractive spicy, leafy underbrush aromas reminiscent of a lighter pinot noir of good quality. This has charm and detail. The palate is soft and full of flavour, without sacrificing delicacy. It’s cleanly dry at the end and there is a sneaky touch of richness that creeps up on you.
Delish.”

Vibrant aromatics of luscious cherry, juby red forest fruits and enticing spices of clove and cinnamon. On the palate the bright and fresh red and black berry fruits are balanced with elegant tannins and fresh acidity to keep the finish rolling until the next glass is poured.
2021 ‘Estate’ Pinot Noir
“Ripe dark fruits and loads of toasty mocha oak notes, with nuances of lavender, blood oranges and rose petals. Savoury palate, very seductive and textural.”
